Fort Makers is a Brooklyn-based collaborative art group that aims to launch emerging artists’ careers through un-conventional means of exposure. We area gang of friends who are also artists. We travel, play, explore and make art together. We learn from each other and push each other forward as artists. That is our mission.

IMAKE Studio was conceived as a Studio where the disciplined application of design thinking could be applied to a product, a process or an idea to arrive at innovative and unpredictable results. It simultaneously combines the pursuit of pure design thinking and an engagement with a world of design and making that are outside the boundaries of conventional design. The combination of research, observation, and practice are used to produce tangible outcomes that create bridges to the multi-faceted communities with whom IMAKE Studio collaborates. The products include furniture, objects and a line of eco-friendly hand woven furnishings.
KWH Furniture was founded on the philosophy that beauty lies in simplicity. With a design aesthetic of clean lines and craftsmanship focused on attention to detail, KWH offers high-quality, handcrafted furniture that will last for generations. KWH utilizes traditional joinery methods and finishes that are chosen to enhance the natural beauty of the carefully selected wood materials.

Pickett Furniture produces unique and bespoke pieces for the home. The lines may be minimalist, but when we select the wood or construction methods for our furniture and built-in work we defer to the past and tradition for inspiration. Most of the joinery we use is hand cut, Japanese-style traditional joinery.
RAAD specializes in creating objects and spaces that emphasize the process of construction - knowledge gleaned from close and continued collaboration with builders. This collaboration leads to clean, rich, imaginative designs that marry strikingly innovative thinking about function with a deep respect for the traditions of everyday living. A focus on the materiality, joinery and detail of design is apparent in all of RAAD’s work and is always considered within the context of the relationship between open space and cozy enclosure.
Volk Furniture is a Brooklyn-based company dedicated to the design and fabrication of hand-crafted, traditionally joined and finished wood furniture. Drawers lined with shirting fabric and antique organ stops re-tasked as drawer pulls are some of the carefully-considered details which make each Volk piece distinctive, enhancing the beauty of the solid wood and the simplicity of the designs.
