Con Edison Shuttle Bus Service
The BKLYN DESIGNS shuttle bus sponsored by Con Edison began pick up at 10am at Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon St. and ran continuous loops all day long to DUMBO.
Rock of Ages: BKLYN DESIGNS & Artistic Tile Vermont Bus Tour
Members of the trade who pre-registered and attended BKLYN DESIGNS on Friday, May 7th are eligible to win a seat on an exclusive tour of the underground Danby Marble Quarry in Vermont.

Attendees enjoyed the BKLYN DESIGNS™ Kids Lounge – featuring fun, functional, and fabulous kids’ furniture by BKLYN DESIGNers! All day long, attendees stopped by to participate in crafts and pick up a 100% biodegradable balloon!

Crop to Cup Presents “The Daily Java Jolt”
Attendees jump started the first hour of each day at BKLYN DESIGNS with a complimentary caffeine fix, courtesy of Crop to Cup.
Attendees came together over free coffee to meet the show organizers, exhibitors, press and guests of this celebrated three-day event!

DJ Set : Nick Chacona
Over the years, Nick Chacona’s productions have grown to encompass elements of sound from across the world of dance music, melding the arpeggiated sounds of Rimini, the trackiness of Chicago, minimalism of Berlin, and dubbed out vibes of Kingston, Jamaica sometimes in the same track, and DJ set. His debutfull lenght release “Love in the Middle” on Moodmusic records is out now and currently available locally at Halcyon and Other Music.

Inhabitat Presents “Inhabitat Annual BKLYN DESIGNS Green Award”
Attendees joined the web’s premier green design magazine in recognizing the most innovative green designs at BKLYN DESIGNS, with a special awards ceremony and reception.
Free Peak Organic beer was served.

Attendees who came to DUMBO on their bikes parked it for FREE at the “Brooklyn Greenway Initiative Bike Park”

Fresh Vegan Cookies at Argington in BKLYN DESIGNS™ Kids Lounge
Argington handed out vegan chocolate chip and vegan oatmeal raison cookies (*while supplies lasted). The cookies were baked locally and fresh that day, by Boneshakers, located in Williamsburg (134 Kingsland Ave).

DJ Set : The Schwartz (halcyon the shop)
Renowned the word over, Dumbo-based halcyon the shop is home to an ever-changing global sampling of street art, urban fashion, alternative literature, transformative technology, unique design and, of course, music, in all it’s forms, from Jazz to Techno. Halcyon the shop is operated by a family of passionate creatives obsessed with the pursuit of quality, open to the insight of collaborators and committed to the advancement of the craft. In his DJ sets, halcyon’s founder weaves a rich tapestry of influences and inspirations culled from the past, present and future of underground music.

5th Annual Spring Fling
Presented by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, in partnership with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation, this event featured musical guest AudraRox playing a rocking set for families, followed by children’s book author and illustrator Betsy Lewin, who read from “Click, Clack, Moo,” and offered a drawing demo. The Transit Museum was on hand with an arts and crafts activity and offered discounted family memberships during the event. The Brooklyn Children’s Museum also hosted an activity table, Karma Kids Yoga facilitated parent-child yoga and The Moxie Spot made Mother’s Day cards.

Kid’s Story Time at Iglooplay in BKLYN DESIGNS™ Kids Lounge
Attendees brought their whole family to the BKLYN DESIGNS™ KIDS’ LOUNGE on Mother’s Day to hear Brooklyn Heights resident, Melanie Hope Greenberg, read from two of her books! Melanie has published 16 children’s picture books — “Mermaids on Parade” (Putnam/Penguin) takes place at Coney Island. “A City Is” (Henry Holt) are poems Melanie illustrated for Brooklyn’s first poet laureate. “Good Morning, Digger” (Viking/Penguin) is a construction book for urban children.
